Washington, (IINA) – Morocco is a “key player” in the European and global fight against terrorism, say the authors of “Grey Book of terrorism in the heart of Moroccan-European security cooperation,” presented on Monday in Washington D.C, Morocco World News reported.
The remarks of the authors came during a meeting at the headquarters of the US think tank “Atlantic Council.”
“Morocco is at the forefront of European and global anti-terrorism,” says the book written by a scientific committee of the Tokyo-based International Research Group For Trans-regional & Emerging Area Studies.
In this respect, the authors of the book with 283 pages noted that Morocco has “tirelessly” exchanged, notably with European intelligence services, expertise and know-how to thwart attempted attacks and dismantle terrorist networks on their national territories.
“This close cooperation has significantly helped prevent dozens of bloody attacks in France and in the rest of Europe,” says the book published in editions “Jean-Cyril Godefroy” in Paris.
The Book also noted the “efficiency” of the Moroccan strategy in the fight against terrorism, which relies on a “preventive and proactive” approach.
Emphasizing the urgent need for international cooperation to combat terrorism, the book’s authors point out that Morocco “enjoys strong cultural and socio-political cohesion that allows it to effectively combat terrorism on its territory and support many states, notably France.”
