Somali President lays foundation stone for embassy in Abu Dhabi

Monday 02 Nov 2015 - 10:51 Makkah mean time-20-1-1437 (WAM Image) Abu Dhabi, (IINA) - President of the Federal Republic of Somalia Hassan Mahmoud and Emirati Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Gargash jointly laid on Sunday the foundation stone for the new Somali Embassy building at the diplomatic quarter in the UAE capital city of Abu Dhabi, WAM reported. The president of Somalia commended the wise leadership of UAE President Sheikh Khalifa Al Nahyan. He also praised the cooperation between the UAE and Somalia. Somali Foreign Minister Abdulsalam Omar, UAE Ambassador to Somalia Mohammad Al-Hammadi and Ambassador of Somalia to UAE Abdel Al-Hatemi were also present at the ceremony. AG/IINA
