Yemeni official lauds Saudi humanitarian relief activities

Jeddah, (IINA) - The Secretary General of the Yemeni Network for Private Organizations Fuwad Saeed stated that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is shouldering the biggest role in humanitarian relief campaigns to rescue the Yemeni people from the repercussions of the ongoing war, SPA reported. 
Saeed said that this humanitarian and historical position will reside unforgotten by the Yemeni people. He also wished other international organizations intensified their work since the beginning of the deterioration of the situations in Yemen at all levels.
In a statement, he said that the charities have used the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a platform to provide relief and assistance to the needy inside Yemen. He cited the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY), which provided more than SR5 million worth of relief operations that benefitted more than 1.5 million persons.
The network, which was incepted in 2003, includes 17 charities with ten offices in different Yemeni provinces and eleven coordinating offices with 426 sub-organizations throughout Yemen.
