Sudan, Somalia sign agreement on media cooperation

Khartoum (IINA) – Sudan and Somalia on Wednesday signed an ‘Information Executive Program Agreement’ in the presence of Sudanese Minister of Information Dr Ahmed Bilal, Sudan News Agency (SUNA) reported.
Undersecretary of the Information Ministry Abdul-Majid Haroun signed the deal for Sudan, while Secretary General of the Somali Information Ministry Abdul-Razig Ali signed for his country.
In a press statement following the signing ceremony, Haroun said that the agreement includes cooperation and exchange of visits and experiences in the media fields. He affirmed the ministry's keenness to implement the program toward strengthening the information relations between Sudan and Somalia.
Meanwhile, the Somali official welcomed the cooperation with the Sudanese media institutions and appreciated the efforts by the Ministry of Information to promote bilateral cooperation. He described his visit to Sudan as important and represents a big step towards the Sudanese-Somali cooperation.
