Gaza (IINA) – The Qatar Development Fund, Education Above All Foundation's Al Fakhoora Program, and the UN Development Program/Program of Assistance to the Palestinian People (UNDP/PAPP) celebrated the completion of rehabilitation works for 11 educational facilities across the Gaza Strip, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.
As part of the continued efforts to rehabilitate the educational facilities in Gaza, the Qatar Development Fund and Al Fakhoora Program extended funds for the completion of the first rehabilitation package which includes three private schools, five training centers, and three universities. It is estimated that around 10,000 people will benefit from access to the renewed facilities.
The activities are part of a $21 million Right to Education Program. The program aims to reconstruct and rehabilitate educational facilities, which were damaged or destroyed during the Israeli offensive on Gaza, with funds from Qatar Development Fund to Education Above All’s Al Fakhoora program. Through this program, over 600,000 Palestinian children and youth will regain equitable access to quality education in an inclusive and child-friendly learning environment.
