Maiduguri, (IINA) - The Nigerian Army declared on Sunday that no amount of distractions would be able to deter it from ending terrorism inside Nigeria by December, NAN reported.
This was disclosed by Major General Yushau Abubakar in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Maiduguri. The interview was regarding recent suicide bombing enacted by suspected insurgents in some parts of Nigeria.
During the interview, Abubakar pointed out that the bombings were aimed at diverting the attention of the military from achieving its target in the ongoing anti-terrorism war. He also said that the military had already gotten clues about those involved in the bombing.
He said that although investigations had commenced on clues, it would take time before reaching a conclusion. Abubakar advised the people to notify security forces of any suspicious movements within the envioronment, saying that the military worked on a strategy that would enable individuals to pass vital information to security forces without being noticed.
