Makkah (IINA) – Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, who is also Chairman of Hajj Higher Committee, vowed that the Kingdom, led by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, will work to make this year's Hajj, as were the previous Hajj seasons, a complete success.
This came during a meeting with the media here on Thursday following his patronage of the annual ceremony to inspect the Hajj Security Forces and other relevant bodies in charge of Hajj and pilgrims, taking part in the implementation of the general plan for this year's Hajj.
Prince Mohammed stressed that Saudi Arabia is working to make this year's Hajj a success through providing the best facilities and all services that would help pilgrims perform this great ritual in ease and comfort, citing the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Project for the Expansion of the Grand Mosque which will increase the accommodation capacity of pilgrims to three folds over the next years.
He said the other ongoing projects which will contribute to facilitating the movement of pilgrims between the sacred places in Makkah include the construction of most of the ring roads, together with the implementation of the last phase of shuttle transport, in addition to a number of developmental projects in Makkah and Madinah.
Prince Mohammed added that the Kingdom has acted firmly and decisively over the previous years to counter the threats of terrorists who did not show respect for the sanctity of religion and souls of the innocent. He affirmed that the security forces are ready to face any irresponsible behavior that might tamper the purity of Hajj or the lives of the guests of Allah.
He added that the Kingdom categorically prevents the exploitation of this great ritual for political or propaganda purposes, warning that whoever dares to encroach upon the regulations will be prosecuted according to the Sharia law.
The Crown Prince expressed his hope that the pilgrims would focus on performing their rituals in tranquility and in accordance with the Hajj procedures, in order to get the reward promised by Allah the Almighty, and to get the benefit of the services made available for them by the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
