Arafat (IINA) – The pilgrims will start moving to Muzdalifah after the sunset of Dhul Hijja 9, to spend the night there, following their completion of the greatest ritual of standing at Arafat.
The Saudi authorities have prepared a perfect traffic plan for the transport of the pilgrims from Arafat to Muzdalifah.
Speaking to the International Islamic News Agency (IINA), Deputy Minister of Hajj and spokesman for the ministry Hatim al-Qadi said that the movement of pilgrims to Muzdalifah will take place via four lanes, including the Mashair train, shuttle and ordinary transport, beside the several wide pedestrian lanes. He explained that 300,000 pilgrims, whose tents are located near the Mashair railway stations, will be transported by trains.
Al-Qadi noted that the pilgrims of African non-Arab countries, Turkey and Europe, as well as the pilgrims of Southeast Asia and Iran will be transferred by the shuttle transport, which is based on previously reserved itineraries. He added that the pilgrims of Arab states and South Asia will be transferred through ordinary transport.
The deputy minister revealed that the Hajj season has witnessed unprecedented flexibility and smooth traffic flow. He attributed this to the tight security measures at the gateways to Makkah, and sending back of large numbers of vehicles and illegal pilgrims, in addition to the pilgrims’ devotion to worship and submission to Allah and their staying well away from all causes of unrest.
After reaching Muzdalifah, the pilgrims will offer the Maghrib prayer with three Raka’a and Isha prayer in two Raka’a at the time of Isha. Offering Maghrib and Isha prayers separately in Muzdalifah is also permissible. After the prayer, the pilgrims spend the night in Muzdalifah until the dawn break, except for the elderly people, disabled, sick, children and weak men and women who are allowed to leave Muzdalifah before the dawn or after midnight and head to Mina for stoning the biggest Jamarat, in order to avoid crowding.
At the dawn of the Eid Day, the pilgrims pray Fajr, and stand in the direction of Qiblah, recite Talbiyah and raise their hands in supplication to Allah. After that they head to Mina before sunrise to start the rituals of the Day of Sacrifice on Dhul Hijja 10.
Although it is permissible for the pilgrims to delay or advance the rituals of the Greatest Day of Sacrifice, according to the saying of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH): "You do nothing wrong", whenever he was asked about anything that was advanced or delayed from its proper order, it is recommended for the pilgrims to follow the example of the Prophet; to start stoning the Jamarat of Aqaba with making Mina on their right hands and Makkah on their left while throwing the pebbles.
