IRCICA opens an exhibition for Islamic Calligraphy

Kazan, Russia (IINA) - The Research Center for Islamic History, Art and Culture (IRCICA) opened an exhibition of Islamic calligraphy on September 2015 at the Reserve Museum of Kul Sharif Mosque in Kazan Kremlin affiliated to the Ministry of Culture of Tatarstan.
Director of Kazan Kremlin, Zilya Valeeva, and Director General of IRCICA Halit Eren have jointly opened the event.
Valeeva thanked IRCICA for having brought a valuable collection of calligraphic works for display at Kazan Kremlin, and for his part Eren expressed his appreciation to Valeeva and the Musuem’s Curator Nuria Garaeva for their amounts of works towards the event.
The exhibition is comprised of 27 calligraphy plates and they are scheduled to be on display until the end of year.
Before his leave, Eren offered to the Museum of Kazan Kremlin an album made by IRCICA that contains historical photographs of Makkah and Al-Madina published by IRCICA.
