Khartoum (IINA) – The Arab League has announced its support for the comprehensive national dialogue launched by Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir, to achieve stability in the country.
Arab League envoy to Sudan Ambassador Dr Salah Halima said the League will put forward some ideas and visions to contribute to preparing the climate for the convening of the Sudanese national dialogue in October.
He called on political forces and the armed movements to participate in the national dialogue process, pointing out that the decisions issued by President Omar al-Bashir on granting general amnesty and ceasefire is a positive step that would create a climate conducive to the success of the national dialogue.
Dr Halima stressed, in a statement to Sudan News Agency (SUNA), "the importance for the dialogue to be a Sudanese-Sudanese and comprehensive, involving all parties; without exclusion or exception to any person".
He noted that the Arab League is currently undertaking intense activities focused on activating the dialogue and achieving its desired goals.
