Amman (IINA) - Jordanian Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Nasser Judeh and the Representative of the Secretary General and head of the UN Mission for Iraq Jan Kubis on Monday discussed the latest developments in the Iraqi arena, Petra reported.
They also highlighted the importance of relevant parties making concerted efforts to achieve peace and stability and ensure the return of displaced people to their homeland.
During the meeting, Judeh underscored the significance of the UN missions for Iraq, while stressing Jordan's keenness to continue cooperation with those missions.
Also, both officials spoke on efforts to confront the menace of terrorism that has hit the region, mainly Iraq.
For his part, Kubis expressed the UN's appreciation of Jordan's role to achieve regional peace and stability under the leadership of King Abdullah, and voiced the UN's keenness to continue coordination and consultation with Jordan.
