Cairo (IINA) – The Arab League asked the ministers of information in the member states to allocate a week to support the City of Jerusalem and to clarify the risks of the Israeli attempts to Judaize the city and change its historical and demographic character.
The Palestinian delegation to the Arab League said in a statement on Sunday that the General Secretariat of the League circulated a note to the member states, containing the activation of the latest resolution of the Council of Arab Information Ministers on the promotion of programs and projects for supporting Jerusalem, and the call for Arab media to allocate a week to support the City and its residents, in addition to clarifying the risks of Israel's attempts to Judaize the Old City and change its historical and demographic character.
The delegation pointed out in the statement that the Arab League urged, in its note, the Arab media outlets on the need to keep the Palestinian cause alive in the minds and hearts of Arabs and Muslims through media awareness programs, in accordance with a continuous Arab media policy. It also called for exerting efforts to rally international public opinion against Israeli operations and policies in the Holy City, and its intent towards Al-Aqsa Mosque and Muslim and Christian holy sites.
