Doha, (IINA) - Malarvadi children organization conducted its fifth edition of Holy Qur'an contest recently, The Peninsula daily reported.
Earlier a selection round competition was held at eleven areas in Qatar, which was attended by over 600 children under 13 years. From each area, two toppers were selected from junior and senior category for Qur'an recitation and Qur'an -based Quiz competition. Mega final was held at Quality Hypermarket auditorium with a total number of 87 participants.
Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) Medical Director and Weill Cornell Medical College Assistant Professor Dr Yousef Al Masalmani was the chief guest at the closing ceremony.
The programme concluded with Iftar, attended by 300 people including participants and their parents.
First three winners, Qur'an recitation Junior: Asma Nisar, Afeefa Jabeen, Suha Abdul Shukoor, Ilham Abdul Aziz joint third place winners. Senior: Muhammad Hashim, Jafer Shameem, Abdul Rahman.
Quiz Junior: Saad Abdul Latheef, Khaleel Sameer Jaslin, Senior: Aslah Thameem, Nabeel Abdul Salam, Hana Abulaize.
