ISESCO chief Altwaijri hold talks with Tunisian PM

Tunis, (IINA) - Tunisian Prime Minister Habib Essid received Director General of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO)  Dr Abdulaziz Altwaijri at his office here on Wednesday.
Talks during the meeting centred on strengthening cooperation  between the Tunisian government and ISESCO in education, science, culture and communication and the ways of enhancing them in light of the priorities contained in ISESCO’s action plan for 2016-2018.
During the meeting, Altwaijri briefed Essid on the activities and conferences to be held by ISESCO in Tunisia over the two coming years after being endorsed by the competent ministries. At the end of the meeting, Dr Altwaijri presented the head of the Tunisian government with ISESCO medal in appreciation of the support and care the organization receives from the Tunisian government.
Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs Tayeb Baccouche also received Dr Altwaijri and the two sides reviewed the outstanding cooperation between ISESCO and Tunisia in fields of common interest. They also held talks on the delicate situation in the region and its potential dangers, and stressed the importance of coordination and cooperation as part of Islamic solidarity to address its adverse impact on the spiritual, cultural, economic and social security of Muslim peoples.
