Riyadh (IINA) – Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr Abdullatif Al-Zayani condemned the terrorist bombing in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, on Wednesday, which targeted a relief convoy of the United Arab Emirates, killing and wounding a number of innocent citizens.
Al-Zayani described the incident as a coward criminal act, adding that its perpetrators, who did not hesitate to attack an aid convoy during the days of the blessed month of Ramadan, have nothing to do with the values of Islamic and humanitarian principles.
The secretary general expressed his condolence to the families of the victims and the government and people of Somalia, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
