Jordan to host an international summit conference on energy in May

Wednesday 25 Mar 2015 - 14:13 Makkah mean time-5-6-1436 Jordanian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Dr. Ibrahim Saif Amman, (IINA) - Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources will hold the Jordan International Energy Summit conference (JIES) during 19-20 May, a ministry statement said on Tuesday, Petra reported Wednesday. A range of international companies will gather at the conference to ponder over major energy projects in the Kingdom. The JIES will provide a unique official platform to exchange ideas on developing investments where Summit leaders from both public and private sectors will adopt a special program to promote the conference as a regional leading event. The JIES will allow the government and state companies to engage with international and local investors, ensuring all participants have key opportunities to share knowledge, explore current challenges and examine the most prominent investment opportunities throughout Jordan.
