Thursday 05 Feb 2015 - 15:40 Makkah mean time-16-4-1436  Hajj Corporation MD Yameen Idrees (R), Mega Maldives CEO George Weinmann, (HAVEERU PHOTO) Malé, Maldives (IINA) - Maldives Hajj Corporation has been assigned Passenger Sales Agent (PSA) of local private airline – Mega Maldives, Haveeru online news reported.
Speaking after signing the agreement on Thursday, Managing Director of Hajj Corporation, Yameen Idrees said that the corporation being assigned PSA of Mega was very advantageous to Maldivian Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, as tickets reserved by Hajj Corporation would be available to them.
MD Yameen said the agreement between the two companies would also pave way for additional benefits to pilgrims, and that they were working on making arrangements so pilgrims can obtain their umrah visa from Maldives.
“This will eliminate the need to go to Sri Lankan agents and make visas available to Maldivians from Maldives,” he said.
Mega Maldives CEO George Weinmann noted that great ties had been developed between the two companies since last year, when Mega carried Hajj pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.
