Jerusalem (IINA) – Israeli occupation forces on Sunday released 12-yeat-old girl, Dima al-Wawi, who in February became the youngest female Palestinian ever incarcerated by Israel.
Al-Wawi was released around noon to a West Bank checkpoint near Tulkarm, where she was greeted by Governor of Tulkarem Issam Abu Baker, Head of the Palestinian Prisoners Club (PPC) Isa Qaraqia and family members.
The Israeli security forces arrested the minor on February 9 near her school, under the pretext of “possession of a knife”. She was sentenced by an Israeli military court to four months and a half in prison.
