Pakistan Ulema Council to come out against terrorism, sectarian violence

Lahore, (IINA) -The Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) has decided to start countrywide campaign to eradicate extremism, terrorism and sectarian violence, The Nation newspaper reported.  
Addressing a meeting of PUC Lahore division office bearers on Sunday, Council Chairman Hafiz Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi said that Ulema conventions and seminars would be arranged all over the country from March 10 to May 15 and ‘Ithead-e-Ummat Conferences’ will also be arranged in different cities of the country including Faisalabad, Lahore, Sialkot and Islamabad.
Tahir Ashrafi said the conferences will be attended by all segments of society including representatives of different religions and minorities.
