OIC cosponsors CAR intra-Muslim dialogue conference at KAICIID

Jeddah, (IINA) - The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation cosponsored and supported the Central African Republic intra-Muslim dialogue and capacity building conference, hosted by King Abdullah International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue (KAICIID) in Vienna on February 25-26.
KAICIID, network for religious and traditional peacemakers, OIC and forum for promoting peace in Muslim societies have collaborated in organizing this action-oriented conference to provide a space for the Muslim community of the Central African Republic (CAR)  to unify their voices and find ways to enhance the community’s capacity to fully and equally participate in the processes of national reconciliation and promotion of social cohesion in CAR.
The Conference brought together religious leaders as well as women and youth leaders from CAR Muslim community. CAR Minister for National Reconciliation Lydie Florence N'Douba, Ambassador David Saperstein, U.S. ambassador at Large for International Religious Freedom Arsalan Suleman, U.S. Special Envoy to the OIC, as well as CAR Christian leaders Archbishop Nzapalainga and Rev. Guerekoyame have attended the event as observers.
