Tokyo (IINA) – Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi is looking forward to take advantage of Tokyo City's unique experience in overcoming the traffic and hygiene problems, as well as the application of sophisticated techniques of transport, urban planning, managing local affairs and crisis management mechanisms.
Egyptian Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Alaa Youssef stated that during a meeting held here on Monday, Governor of Tokyo Yoichi Masuzoe briefed President el-Sisi on the action taken by the governorate to reduce traffic congestion in Tokyo by 50 percent.
Masuzoe expressed willingness to exchange experience and technology with Cairo governorate, which suffers from similar problem in traffic congestion, in addition to the problems of waste and sewage treatment.
It is noteworthy that President el-Sisi started a visit to Japan on Sunday, the first by an Egyptian head of state in 16 years as his country seeks to diversify its ties beyond its traditional Western allies.
