Jeddah (IINA) - The Saudi national campaign to support Syrian refugees has secured emergency medical treatment for an elderly Syrian woman in Jordan’s Zaatari Refugee Camp, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Wednesday.
The move followed the directives of Crown Prince Muhammad bin Naif, deputy premier and minister of interior who is also the supervisor general of Saudi relief campaigns, to make arrangements for the woman's treatment. The woman was taken to a hospital outside the camp where she underwent a successful cardiac surgery. The campaign met all the expenses of the surgery.
According to SPA, the woman, who lives in Jordan’s Zaatari refugee camp, was taken to a hospital and treated after her health deteriorated. Badr bin Abdul Rahman Al-Samhan, the regional director of the Campaign, said that the woman underwent a cardiac surgery which was entirely paid by the organization. Al-Samhan added that the woman thanked the Saudi King as well as the deputy crown prince for the gesture.
