Rabat (IINA) – The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) strongly condemned Tuesday's terrorist bombing in the Sitra area, south of the Bahraini capital, Manama, killing two policemen, and wounding several others. One of the victims sustained serious injuries.
"This terrorist act of which the Bahraini security authorities confirmed it was carried out under the guidance of a third party, and that the explosives used in the attack were of the same type that were recently intercepted coming from that party, is a heinous crime that must be condemned by the international community,” ISESCO said Tuesday in a statement obtained by the International Islamic News Agency (IINA).
ISESCO added that those responsible for the attack must be held accountable, and the individuals involved in it as well.
The organization called for the "the determined and concerted efforts of all member states in the face of all forms of terrorism, whether masterminded by deviant individuals, or under the guidance of an irresponsible third-party who aims to spread chaos and unrest in the region, in violation of international peace and security”.
ISESCO reiterated its “solidarity with the Kingdom of Bahrain in its fight against the abhorrent terrorism and sectarianism targeting its security and the safety of its people”.
