Global Dryland Alliance to hold ministerial conference in Marrakech

Thursday 28 May 2015 - 14:42 Makkah mean time-10-8-1436 (Google image) Marrakech, (IINA) - Global Dryland Alliance (GDA), a global organization that endeavours to promote food security and stability in predominantly arid regions, will hold its ministerial conference for two days starting from Friday in Marrakesh, Morocco World News reported. The conference will tackle issues relating to desertification, poverty and malnutrition as well as famine in arid countries, organizers said. Created at the initiative of Qatar, the GDA brings together about twenty countries notably from Africa and the Middle East. The GDA aims at launched projects in fields pertaining to agricultural development and water in cooperation with local, regional and international partners. SM/IINA
