Rabat, (IINA) - Morocco has decided to provide $1 million emergency grant aid to the earthquake victims in Nepal, the foreign ministry said on Tuesday.
”Upon High Instructions of King Mohammad, Morocco has decided to provide $1 million in emergency grant aid to the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, following the devastating earthquake that hit, on Saturday, several regions of the country, causing considerable human casualties and economic losses”, Morocco World news reported citing the ministry.
“This emergency aid, which will be sent to Nepal, through the United Nations, is part of the efforts of the international community to help the country cope with the devastating effects of this disaster and alleviate the suffering of its people”, the same source pointed out.
“By this gesture of solidarity, Morocco expresses its sympathy with the government and the people of Nepal in these painful circumstances,” the statement added.
