Aden, (IINA) - Yemeni forces and loyalists to President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi regained control of Aden airport from Houthi militias on Thursday, as a Saudi-led military operation continued to target the rebels, Al Arabiya news channel reported citing sources.

Troops of the 39th Armored Brigade, who are allied to the Houthis militia, which controls the capital Sanaa, pulled out of the airport just a day after seizing it, a security official said, The Economic times reported.

Saudi Arabia, along with 10 other countries, launched a military operation against the Houthi militia late Wednesday, called “Al-Hazm Storm”.

The Saudi-led operation Decisive Storm saw a series of airstrikes on Houthi-held targets which reportedly killed a number of the militia’s military commanders.
