Saint Petersburg, (IINA) - A Russian Boeing plane 737 carrying around 78 passengers has made a successful emergency landing at Saint Petersburg after one of its engines failed, media news reported.

"The plane made a safe landing and no passengers were injured," Russian airline UTair, which operated the flight, said in a statement.

The plane made the emergency landing "after the transmitter went off, signaling the right engine’s failure,” a source told RIA Novosti news agency.

The jet landed at about 12:35 pm Moscow time (9:35 am GMT).

Russian media also reported that the UTair flight UT369 made an emergency landing at the Pulkovo airport and that no passengers were hurt.
