Monday 09 Mar 2015 - 10:15 Makkah mean time-18-5-1436  Logistics center for grains (Arabiya net/Image) Cairo (IINA) – Alliance of major Russian and German companies submitted an official offer to ink a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Egyptian Ministry of Supply to set up a tripartite long lasting partnership that comprises Egypt, Russia and Germany.
The three nations seek to participate and invest in the construction of the logistic center for grain yields and food commodities in the Egyptian city of Damietta for storage silos, four mills, fodder factories and wheat supply.
In this context, Egyptian Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Dr. Khalid Hanafy held a meeting with Head of the Russian-Egyptian Business Council Mikhail Orlov and German Executive Manager of Africa and Middle East, Petkos for Silos and Mills Demiko Pletze, as well as Regional Director of Petkos for Egypt and Arab States Eng. Bassam Al-Naqah.
Orlov stated that Egypt's geographic location makes it strategically an important axis in the world trade, especially and grains and wheat, which have encouraged the Russian and German companies to seek to establish the tripartite partnership with Egypt.
He pointed out that the Russian and German sides will finance these projects, saying that he is reviewing the prospects of holding a global grain conference in Egypt for the Russian suppliers of wheat, the German and international companies, operating in the field of storage silos, flour mills and fodder factories.
