Wednesday 28 Jan 2015 - 13:25 Makkah mean time-8-4-1436 Mogadishu (IINA) – Somalia’s Prime Minister Omar Abdirashid Sharmarke on Tuesday announced formation of a new government comprising 20 ministers, downsizing the number from the 26-member cabinet that was dissolved earlier this month. Sharmarke said the new cabinet was formed after consultations with President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud, Speaker of Parliament Mohamed Osman Jawari, as well as the members of the House of Representatives. In a press statement, Sharmarke said: "Under the constitutional duty to form an effective and powerful government, I have appointed new ministers, who have knowledge, transparency, expertise and ability to deliver the country’s 2016 vision”.
