Yemen's president appoints new vice president, prime minister

Riyadh (IINA) – Yemen's President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi issued Sunday three Republican decrees to appoint a vice-president, prime minister, and presidential adviser, Yemen News Agency reported.
According to a statement carried by the state-run Yemen news agency, President Hadi appointed Ahmed Obaid bin Daghr as prime minister and Maj. Gen. Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar as vice president, while former vice-president and prime minister Khaled Mahfoudh Bahah was appointed a presidential advisor.
The three Republican decrees shall come into effect from the date of their issuance and publication in the official gazette, the statement noted.
