Islamabad (IINA) – Queen Máxima of the Netherlands will start a three-day visit to Pakistan on Tuesday, as part of her global efforts to promote financial inclusion, Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) reported quoting the Foreign Office.
The scheduled visit of the Queen, who is the UN Secretary-General's special advocate for inclusive finance for development, comes in support of Pakistan’s National Financial Inclusion Strategy.
Queen Máxima will meet during the visit with President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, besides other engagements with a wide range of stakeholders from the public and private sectors.
Financial inclusion, launched in May 2015, is a strategy aims to expand the availability of the financial tools the poor need to protect themselves against hardship and improve their lives.
