Libya renews demand to lifting of arms embargo to fight Daesh

Tripoli (IINA) – Libya's Interim Government renewed its call on the international community to expedite the lifting of the ban on arming the Libyan army so as to enable the state eliminate Daesh terrorist group, explaining that things cannot afford further delay.
According to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Libyan government stressed in a statement on Monday that the imminent menace of the terrorist group Daesh will affect everyone unless the international community rallies efforts to stamp it out, and extends a helping hand to the Libyan army in its fight against this terrorist group.
The government also appealed to the Libyan people to stand united, renounce division and discord, and close ranks around the Libyan army in order to eradicate terrorist organization of Daesh.
