Aden (IINA) – Yemeni military authorities announced Wednesday they have started preparations to liberate Zamar province, south of the capital Sana'a, from the control of the Houthi militias and forces allied to deposed President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
Yemen's official news agency reported that Yemeni Chief of Staff Maj. General Mohammed Ali Al-Magdashi was briefed in Ma'rib on the tactics and plans to be adopted by Brigade 203, poised to liberate the province.
On the other hand, Maj. General Abdulrabb al-Shaddadi, commander of the 3rd military, stationed in Ma'rib, said that the army has tightened its grip on areas on the outskirts of Sana'a governorate.
He said the national army and popular resistance have seized control of strategic locations in Helan mountains, Al-Mashjaha and Mijzer in Ma'rib governorate as well as winning striking victories in the regions of Sarwah and Fardat Nahm, around 40 kilometers (25 miles) northeast of Sana’a.
