Riyadh, (IINA) - More than 10 million Yemenis have been benefited from 13 health programs undertaken by the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Works (KSCRHW), Arab News reported.
“KSCRHW has provided 823 tons of equipment and medicine, and medical supplies at a cost of more than $56,507,636”, according to a report.
KSCRHW also provides health care and humanitarian assistance to Yemeni patients and their families as well as their companions in Jordan.
According to several diagnoses, Yemenis are suffering from bullet injuries, paralysis, fractures, loss of body organs as well as trauma. The center also looks after the accommodations and subsistence of the Yemeni patients even after they have checked out of the hospital and return to Yemen.
The center also shoulders the cost if a Yemeni patient has to be transferred to a specialized hospital, based on medical reports and evaluations.
The center ensures payments for the expenses incurred in hospitalization and treatment in coordination with the Saudi Ministry of Health and agencies involved in KSCRHW’s humanitarian activities involving the Yemenis.
KSCRHW implemented various health programs with the participation of 12 international and regional organizations. As part of its commitment to provide the best health care to Yemeni patients, the center also signed an agreement with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) for the implementation of a prosthetics program.
The agreement includes $1.3 million for the provision of medical teams to conduct surgical operations in Yemen and to support the Yemeni Red Crescent Society.
The programs are in accordance with the aspirations and directives of Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Salman and under the supervision of Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, KSCRHW general supervisor and Royal Court adviser.
