Sudan's Deputy UN Ambassador Hassan Hamid Hassan

New York (IINA) – Sudan confirmed its commitment to a ceasefire in Darfur, stressing that the present clashes in the region are limited, and mostly of tribal nature.
The remark was made during the UN Security Council session on Darfur, held here on Monday to discuss the situation in the region.
Sudan's Deputy UN Ambassador Hassan Hamid Hassan said that the Sudanese government cooperates fully with the joint African Union-United Nations Mission in Darfur (UNAMID), pointing to  urgent processing in the visa applications for UNAMID personnel, and the customs clearance procedures.
