Following the recent attack and bombing incidents in Turkey and Indonesia, Minister of Federal Territories Adnan Mansor said the agencies, including the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), Labuan Corporation and Putrajaya Corporation (PPj) have made necessary preparations including beefing up of security personnel deployment.
"We also cooperate with the police and discuss with the ministry and Defence Minister Hishammuddin Hussein to ask for military assistance if the need arises," he was quoted by BERNAMA as saying.
Adnan said the 'hotspot' areas in Kuala Lumpur where security patrols have been intensified included Bukit Bintang, Bangsar, Sri Hartamas and popular shopping centres at the The Curve, Publika and Kuala Lumpur Tower.
