Global condemnation of terror attacks in many cities

Ouagadougou, (IINA) - Global condemnation followed Saturday’s deadly terror siege on a hotel in Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso, where dozens of people were killed and injured, news agencies reported.
Secretary General of Muslim World League (MWL) Abdullah Al-Turki condemned the terrorist acts that took place in Quetta, Pakistan, Jakarta, Indonesia, the African Union Mission in southern Somalia, the Cameroon district of Kolovata, and Burkina Faso’s capital city of Ouagadougou.
UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon has condemned the attack on Burkina Faso, describing it as a “heinous terrorist attack”. In a statement issued in response to the attacks, Secretary General Ban Ki-moon extended his “deepest condolences to the families of the victims”.
Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Iyad Madani condemned the attack and voiced his profound grief over it, saying that such acts seek to disrupt the country’s stability, which was finally achieved after the democratic transition of the state after the recent elections. He commended the efforts of the Burkinabe security forces who have demonstrated exemplary valor and patriotism and affirmed their capacity to effect timely intervention, stand up to such a heinous assault and achieve the release of the 30 hostages held by the armed aggressors.
Saudi Foreign Ministry has expressed the Kingdom's condemnation of terrorist attacks that targeted the African Union mission in Somalia, and a hotel in Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso, resulting in a number of deaths and injuries. The Kingdom extended its sincere condolences to the families of the victims and confirmed its firm position against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
Turkey has also condemned the terrorist attack. A statement from the Turkish Foreign Ministry said: "We vehemently condemn the terrorist attack perpetrated in Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso, last night (January 15) against a hotel and resulting in the death of numerous innocent people and injury of many others".
Meanwhile, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau condemned the attack, which caused the death of six Canadians, describing it as a "brutal act of violent terrorism"; he also led a moment of silence for the victims.
The UAE condemned the attack and called on the international community “to confront this phenomenon by rallying all efforts to stand in the face of terrorism and to eliminate all its forms”.
Jordan, Morocco, Tunisia and Bahrain all condemned the attack and expressed solidarity with the country and stated their countries' condolences to the families of the victims.
