Egypt signs nine agreements to boost investment

Cairo, (IINA) - Egyptian Investment Minister Ashraf Salman said on Tuesday that Egypt has recently signed nine agreements with a number of African states in order to enhance and protect investments in the country.
The minister added that the signed agreements included Ethiopia, Comoros, Mali, Malawi, Sudan, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco.
According to Egyptian economic newspaper Amwal Al-Ghad, the investment ministry is currently negotiating with other states to sign agreements to increase the volume of Egyptian investments in Africa within the upcoming period.
The minister also noted that the Ministry is exerting efforts to support Egyptian private sector to enter African markets through providing all information about the available investment opportunities in all sectors. Additionally, the ministry is searching for a mechanism to cooperate with local and global banks and financial organizations.
