Abu Dhabi, (IINA) - The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has begun the first phase of its project to renovate and repair 154 schools and educational institutions in Yemen, WAM reported.
During this phase, around 123 education institutions will be restored as part of the ERC's continuing efforts to promote services in the educational sector, which has badly hit by the ongoing strife in Yemen.
The renovation work is also currently underway in another 31 other schools, as part of the second phase of the rehabilitation, and they are expected to open soon.
The educational authorities in Yemen have expressed their appreciation to the ERC for supporting the educational sector.
