Jeddah, (IINA) - The Saudi International Motor Show (SIMS) has concluded its 37th edition of 2015 at Jeddah Convention & Exhibition Center on Thursday. The center estimated on Sunday that 150,000 visitors toured the SIMS and its various activities during its five-day run, Arab News reported.
Various car and motorcycle brands from the world over showcased their latest sport, mid-size, and SUV segments at the event. They included automakers from the United States, China, Japan and Korea.
New car launches, auto-related activities, and interactive games and contests were among the highlights.
The show was held with the support of Jeddah Governor Prince Mishaal bin Majed while Transport Department Director General Mohammed Tawfiq Madani inaugurated the exhibition on December 13.
“The exhibition proved to be one of the prominent motoring events in Saudi Arabia and the region”, said Vice President of Al-Harithy Company for Exhibitions (ACE) Zahoor Siddique.
He said that the annual show has remained an attraction for visitors with its new car displays, from customized to classic, and test drives, adding that outdoor and entertainment activities at the show ensured that there was always something for everyone.
This year’s edition included several adrenalin pumping live action events, including the final round of Saudi Star Drift Championship, off-road experience, car customization, interactive areas and electronic virtual driving.
