​OIC to include Islamophobia in 2016 summit agenda

Islamabad, (IINA) - Sartaj Aziz, Special Adviser to Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif recently said that increasing hardships of Muslims overseas and the issue of Islamophobia will be part of the agenda of the OIC summit to be held in February next year.
Aziz informed the OIC member countries that Pakistani missions abroad have been directed to look after interests of overseas Pakistanis in the wake of anti-Muslim rhetoric in the western world.
He said a meeting of Pakistani ambassadors was held in Islamabad last week to discuss the issue in detail.
He noted that Pakistan’s missions are well aware of the situation and that they are intensifying efforts to assist Pakistani community with the help of the local media.
