OIC chief, EU special representatives for Horn of Africa discuss joint efforts to combat terrorism

Wednesday 02 Dec 2015 - 10:09 Makkah mean time-20-2-1437 Jeddah, (IINA) - Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Iyad Madani received here on Monday the European Union Representative for the Horn of Africa Alexander Rondos. The EU representative was accompanied during his visit by Ambassador Adam Kulack, head of the delegation of the European Union to Saudi Arabia and other officials from the EU. During the meeting, OIC chief and the EU representatives discussed the OIC-EU joint efforts in combating terrorism and violent extremism. The two sides restated their commitment for a better coordination and cooperation in this regard. They also reviewed the bilateral relations between the OIC and EU and agreed to remain engaged on mutual issues at various levels. SM/IINA
