Cairo (IINA) – Egypt's renowned Islamic institution, Al-Azhar al-Sharif, has mourned the death of Major General Jaafar Mohammed Saad, governor of the Yemeni city of Aden, and a number of his bodyguards, who were killed in a car bomb explosion, targeting his convoy in Tawahi district on Sunday.
Al-Azhar affirmed in a statement on Monday that such barbaric bombings and attacks run counter to all heavenly religions as well as to all human norms and values, expressing the need for a serious international will and unified strategy to eliminate this black terrorism and eradicate it with its roots.
The Islamic Institution voiced its full solidarity with the brotherly people of Yemen, and its support to them in the face of terrorism aimed at destabilizing their stability and security.
