Jordan to support Libya in restoring security, stability

Amman, (IINA) - Jordanian Minister of Interior Salamah Hammad recently met here with Libyan acting Interior Minister Brigadier Mohammed Al Fakehri and discussed current developments in the region, and efforts to restore security and stability to Libya, Petra reported.
The two ministers also discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries, in security and police fields, especially those related to training and qualifying Libyan police cadres in Jordan, and re-study and reactivate agreements signed between the two countries, to meet their needs.
During the meeting, Hammad said Jordan, under its wise Hashemite leadership, must help and stand with Libya in different times and circumstances, in order to achieve its national interests.
Hammad also expressed the readiness of the security agencies under his ministry to cooperate with Libyan counterparts, in the security training area, including holding training and qualifying courses, in accordance with the agreements signed or will be in the future.
Al Fakehri said rehabilitating and restructuring Libya's police and security apparatus require an active cooperation with Jordan, as Jordanian security agencies hold good reputation, high level of disciplinary and efficiency, both regionally and internationally.
