Havana (IINA) – Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, who is on a visit to Havana, held talks on Monday with Cuban President Raul Castro, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.
Both sides discussed ways of strengthening and developing bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields, particularly in economic, trade, investment and health domains. They also exchanged views on a number of current issues on the regional and international arena, especially the latest developments in the Middle East.
The leaders of the two countries witnessed the signing of an agreement between the governments of Qatar and Cuba on a visa waiver for holders of diplomatic and special passports, and a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Qatar Investment Authority and Cuba's Ministry of Trade and Foreign Investment on cooperation in investment field.
