ISESCO to hold 6th session of Islamic Conference of Environment Ministers

Rabat, (IINA) - The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) will hold the 6th session of the Islamic Conference of Environment Ministers on October 8 and 9.
The session, with the theme of “Climate Change: Future Challenges for Sustainable Development” will be held at ISESCO's headquarters in Rabat under the patronage of Moroccan King Mohammad VI.
Environment ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states along with representatives from international and regional organizations will gather together to examine a variety of topics regarding environment governance for environment sustainability in the Islamic world, strategy for integrated water management in the Islamic world, the general framework of the Islamic Agenda for Sustainable Development and reports on the 3rd meeting of the Islamic Executive Bureau for Environment (IEBE) among other various subjects.
At the close of the conference, the participants will elect the IEBE members and fix the date and venue of the conference’s seventh session.
