Beijing (IINA) – Sudanese President Omer Al-Bashir and South African President Jacob Zuma have agreed on a plan to address the challenges facing Africa, primarily the issue of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Sudan News Agency (SUNA) reported.
This came during their meeting on Thursday in Beijing on the sidelines of China celebrations of the 70th anniversary of its victory against Japan in World War II.
Al-Bashir and Zuma affirmed the importance of helping the brothers in South Sudan State to reach a lasting peace.
In a statement to SUNA after the meeting, Sudan’s Foreign Minister Prof. Ibrahim Ghandour said that the two presidents directed the foreign ministers of the two countries to cooperate with the foreign ministers of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) to support the South Sudanese and to continue consultations and meetings for achieving an agreement on all the regional and international issues.
The two leaders also discussed a number of issues of mutual concern and agreed on a visit to be paid by President Jacob Zuma to Sudan by the end of this year or early next year, the foreign minister added.
