Jeddah, (IINA) - Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, governor of Makkah Region and chairman of the Central Hajj Committee, announced on Tuesday that the concerned authorities have sent back around 160,000 pilgrims who did not have a Hajj permit.
Al-Faisal stressed the keenness of Saudi Arabia in ensuring  the safety of all pilgrims. He said: "Saudi Arabia will not allow anyone to disrupt the safety of pilgrims during the Hajj season”.
"All the measures to ensure the safety of the Hajj season will be applied, and we hope everyone will comply with the regulations".
During the meeting, Prince Khaled praised the Ministry of Hajj’s e-track system through which more than 700,000 pilgrims have already arrived, and it is expected that more than 1.3 million pilgrims will come to perform Hajj this year.
The governor also inspected the services and facilities being extended to the pilgrims at the Haj terminal of King Abdulaziz International Airport. He expressed satisfaction over the arrangements, especially the means and technologies that helped reduce the duration of pilgrims' arrival procedures to less than 45 minutes, compared to 3 hours in previous years.
