Saudi Arabia, Oman news agencies receive best Arab news agency for tourism coverage

Abu Dhabi, (IINA) - Oman News Agency (ONA) received on Monday the best Arab news agency award for coverage on local and Arab tourism affairs jointly with the Saudi News Agency (SNA) awarded by the Abu Dhabi-based Arab Center for Tourism media (ACTM), ONA reported.
The award-presentation was held at the Al Bustan Palace Hotel under the patronage of Ahmed bin Nasser al- Mahrzi, minister of tourism.
Eighteen specialized tourist media awards, granted by ACTM annually, were presented in the ceremony, including five awards won by the Sultanate.
Al- Mahrzi won the best tourism personality. ONA and SNA jointly won the best news agency publishing Arab tourism news. Muscat City Seasons won the best Arab family hotel award.
Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed al- Nahyan, representative of the President of the United Arab Emirates / Chairman of the Emirates Heritage Club won the Arab Heritage Man Award 2015. The known Emirati businessman Khalaf al- Habtoor won the best Arab tourism investor in the field of giant tourism projects Club.
Also, the TV program" Youm Jadid ( New Day)" produced by Egypt and  Jordan, and the TV program " Rathath (mist)" produced by the public authority for radio and television in the Sultanate jointly won the best tourism TV program. Kuwaiti Radio program "Trip to Failaka" won the best Arab tourism Radio program.
Winners of the ACTM 7th edition awards, ACTM members of the Board of Directors, a number of news agencies, and Arab and international media attended the award-presentation ceremony.
