Kuwaiti group donates tuberculosis vaccines to Sudan

Khartoum, (IINA) - Kuwait delivered 100,000 tuberculosis vaccines to Sudan on Monday as an initiative of humanitarian aid. Kuwait aims to deliver one million vaccines in the coming days, according to media reports.
Kuwait’s Patients’ Helping Fund Society (PHFS) have collaborated with the World Health Organization (WHO) in order to carry out the initiative.
Sudanese Health Minister expressed the country’s gratitude towards the humanitarian initiative and said that Kuwait has been nothing but supportive and generous to the Sudanese people.
On his part, Kuwaiti Ambassador noted that 900,000 more vaccines are to be delivered in order to end the dangerous epidemic, he also expressed his appreciation to the bodies that helped carrying out this initiative.
For her part, WHO representative thanked Kuwait for their contributions to Sudan in the field of humanitarian work.
